Happy Birthday, Grandpa!
My grandpa turns 91 today. After meeting him, you would have never thought he is 91. He is healthy as an ox and sharp as a tack. He has a cell phone, just got a new Dell, and uses Skype to keep in touch. I hope I am like him when I grow up. Happy birthday Grandpa.

Good Timing
So I just finished writing a paper on the declining number of medical school graduates in primary care (the actual title is “The Decrease of Primary Care Physicians in Today’s Health Care System: Causes, Effects, and Policy Implications”). If I had...

Brad DeLong, on a roll
My former economics professor, Brad DeLong, is on a roll. In this post, he presents a compelling argument for Larry Summers’ appointment to a high federal office. After listing the reasons, an excerpt: These are, I think, the skills we want in high federal office right now. Why? Because the situation is unclear and confused enough that we want really smart people serving as intellectual...

WatchWatch
When you get some time, watch this video. It is about consumer electronic waste that is illegally shipped from the US abroad (in this case, Hong Kong). Fascinating, disturbing, and great investigative journalism. From tonight’s 60 Minutes.
