'Idaho Stop' is a go for bicycle safety  →
Good article supporting Idaho’s policy allowing bicyclists to slow down instead of stopping at stop signs. It includes research from UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health. After adopting the new law, bike injuries actually decreased 14.5%. The policy’s first proponents were actually traffic judges who kept dealing with cyclists who had received tickets for running the stop signs.
