U.K. Startups Face Crisis as Venture Funding,... →
I came across this Bloomberg headline this morning— it seems like something we would have read in the US 12 months ago. The investment climate appears much different in the UK.

Simple Keynesianism for Monetarists: A Primer
A good post from Brad DeLong, one of my economics professors at Berkeley, touching on a critical variable in economics, monetary velocity. He is a great professor—one of the most influential profs I’ve had—and is the only professor I know who posts his cell phone number on his publications and uses tinyurl.com to link to citations in his footnotes. An excerpt: Keynesianism for...

Something I read today...
Just finished reading “Open Secrets” by Malcolm Gladwell, which was originally published in the The New Yorker. A Tale of Two Toasters
My friend Eddy is quite a fellow. We met on our first day as students in Singapore and for much of our time there, were the sole inhabitants of the seventh floor of our dorm. He and I traveled to the Malaysia side of the island of Borneo, attending the Rainforest World Music Festival and hiking through the jungle of Bako National Park. Originally from Australia, Eddy now splits his time between...

Morocco's Extraordinary Donkeys →
My Grandpa found this article and passed it on. It’s a great article, and having traveled in Morocco last year, it is spot-on describing the medina. People and animals navigate the maze of narrow streets at all hours of the day in Fez.
